Discover the story behind Peony & Thyme, from owner and creator, Katerina.

I grew up in a big city, but my happiest memories are of summers spent at my grandmother’s holiday home by the river, surrounded by her garden — especially her peonies, rich burgundy blooms filled with fragrance. I spent hours helping her care for the flowers, and that connection to nature has stayed with me ever since.

Over the years, I’ve always been drawn to flowers — visiting markets, independent florists, and beautifully curated shops across Europe, finding inspiration in seasonal blooms, natural textures, and understated design.

After lockdown, I moved into floral design, creating bespoke bouquets and arrangements that felt personal and considered. Flowers soon became part of my everyday life — and my work.

I founded Peony & Thyme, a boutique florist and gift shop in Moira, specialising in bespoke bouquets, seasonal flowers, and thoughtfully curated pieces for the home.

My style is natural and refined — soft, romantic tones, garden-led arrangements, and a timeless, elegant feel. Each piece is designed to feel effortless, expressive, and quietly distinctive.
